Download the correct build for the Mac hardware you are deploying to. If you are unsure which chip your Mac has, go to Apple menu > About This Mac. M-series chips use the ARM build. Intel processors use the x64 build.
For all Macs with Apple Silicon. This is the recommended build for any Mac purchased since late 2020. The ARM package is optimized for the M-series chip architecture and includes the macOS WORX EDR deployment instructions.
Download ARM ZIPFor Macs running Intel processors. Use this build for any Mac purchased before late 2020 that has not been replaced with Apple Silicon hardware. Includes the same macOS WORX EDR deployment instructions.
Download x64 ZIPBoth ZIP files contain the installer and the macOS WORX EDR Deployment Instruction document. Follow these steps for a clean installation across your macOS endpoints.
Check your Mac hardware at Apple menu > About This Mac. Download the ARM build for Apple Silicon or the x64 build for Intel. Extract the ZIP to a local directory on your deployment machine.
Read the included macOS WORX EDR Deployment Instruction document before running the installer. It covers both manual single-machine install and scripted deployment via terminal or MDM.
After deployment, confirm with your BLOKWORX partner contact that the endpoints are appearing in the management console. The US-based SOC begins monitoring immediately upon successful enrollment.
You only need to do this once per device type in your fleet. Once you know whether your client Macs are Apple Silicon or Intel, you can deploy the correct build at scale.
Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner of the screen, then select "About This Mac." Look for the chip field. If it says Apple M1, M2, M3, or M4, use the ARM build. If it lists an Intel processor, use the x64 build.
Open Terminal and run the command below. The output will confirm your architecture. "arm64" means Apple Silicon. "x86_64" means Intel. Use this for remote or scripted fleet detection before mass deployment.
